Our story begins with two lonely people scouring the internet for any signs of intelligent and attractive life. The first date was typical - meet for tea at Chocolati on April Fool's Day, extend to a long walk, dinner, dessert, and finally a ride home that ends with an awkward handshake in the car. Ah, romance! The second date was more promising, in that Heidi shared her recently made unicorn Stanky Legg video and there was kissing.
Labor Day Weekend, 2016.
Ben and Mary move in with Heidi and Stella and Malcolm. They move Ben's entire apartment's worth of stuff using only a minivan and a lot of moxie. Unlike most moving experiences, they actually smiled and laughed and still liked each other when they were done.
2017.
A blur of marches, music, mustaches, and falling ever deeper into love.
Heidi proposes to Ben in front of 40 of their closest friends. Ben was completely bushwhacked in the best possible way. Heidi proved once and for all that she CAN trick Ben. There was so much joy and singing that even the angels sang along.
Heidi sent Ben a link to a random song by Brandi Carlile. He became convinced she LOVED Brandi Carlile, so he bought tickets to see her at Zoo Tunes. It turned out neither Ben nor Heidi really liked Brandi Carlile all that much and that they really liked each other a lot.

Glamping on Rialto Beach, Washington. "I like you a lot." "I like you a lot, too." Stuff like that. Gorgeous surf, beautiful skies, and long loving glances. Ben knew this was something special because Heidi let him read Dune to her out loud by candlelight.
